When we first discovered this brilliant piece we went all weak at the knees- and we're not even stamp collectors. Created in March 1971, this signed, original pastel drawing is by late British artist (and first class male) John Leech. The gorgeous colour palette echoes that of the subject itself - the old 'One Penny Red' stamp.
We can frame this item for you - in a black or white frame with perspex glaze, just pick your preferred option from the drop-down menu and we'll do the rest.
Leech studied at the Royal College of Art 1950-1953, and has exhibited at the Royal Academy, R.B.A. Mall Gallery, St Martins Gallery and the Leicester Gallery amongst others. Tunbridge Wells Museum (his hometown) holds examples of his work.
