1970's One Penny Stamp Linocut


This is a real crowd pleaser - created in the 1970's by artist John Leech. Using the old one penny stamp as his subject, this simple, graphic linocut has been printed using the perfect blue hue. It's sure to bring an uplifting colour pop to any contemporary interior.

Leech studied at the Royal College of Art 1950-1953, and has exhibited at the Royal Academy, R.B.A. Mall Gallery, St Martins Gallery and the Leicester Gallery amongst others. Tunbridge Wells Museum (his hometown) holds examples of his work.
