Original Graham Clilverd ink drawing, c1920's

This is a rare opportunity to own a charming, signed, original pencil and ink drawing by listed artist Graham Clilverd (1883 - 1959).

Depicting the kind of restaurant you only ever see in old black & white movies. Clilverd's unique sketch is filled with personality and elegance, much like the diners who would visit it, no doubt. Who knew that simple salt and pepper shakers and an upturned wine glass could be drawn with such love and charm?

A fine British architectural painter, engraver and etcher, Clilverd studied in London at the Central Arts School. He first exhibited around 1908, his paintings shown annually at the Royal Academy, the Royal Scottish Academy and the Paris Salon. Clilverd’s art earned him election as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

Original, ink & pencil on paper.
