This is a wonderful one of a kind portrait by British artist John Leech, created in the 1980's Leech has used a vintage newspaper (dating from 1956) as his 'canvas'. This has resulted in the most original work of art we've seen for some time.
This work is so special and delicate we are selling it pre-framed - blind mounted in a simple black wooden frame with perspex glaze (as shown.)
Leech studied at the Royal College of Art 1950-1953, and has exhibited at the Royal Academy, R.B.A. Mall Gallery, St Martins Gallery and the Leicester Gallery amongst others. Tunbridge Wells Museum (his hometown) holds examples of his work.
